Trees are Terrific
We walk past trees everyday, but how much do we know about these magnificent plants? Learn how trees grow and what happens inside a tree as it grows. Find out what a tree cookie is and if they are good to eat and learn about what makes trees different from each other.
*Area with trees would be nice, but not necessary
Spinning Spiders
Are you afraid of spiders? Do you know why you are afraid? Conquer your fear as we learn why these animals are good for our world and why they look and act like they do!
3-5 Programs
Animals can do what?
It is a tough world out there for the animals. Each creature has its own set of amazing adaptations that allow for it to thrive in the wild even when us humans run indoors. Come test your abilities in games and activities to see what the wildlife does to survive.
Tools and Tails
Hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers are common tools humans use. But what about animals? How do they build things? Find out how animals build and try using their tools for yourself!
Adult/Family Programs
Reptiles and Amphibians
Meet our popular animal ambassadors and learn what makes them unique. Younger groups will learn about each species and what traits they have that allow them to survive in Minnesota. Older groups will get additional information on animal behavior and training. Our ambassador team includes: native turtles, an invasive turtle and a tiger salamander.
- Programs run approximately 1 - 1.5 hours, depending on specific program and age group(s) in attendance.
- Any program listed as Pre-K – 6 can also be considered a “family” program and will be geared towards learners of all ages. Also programs listed as Pre-K – 6 can be tailored to be smaller and more specific age range if requested.
- **Please note it is required that a parent/caregiver accompany each preschool aged child during the program.
- Please do not register students outside the recommended age/grade ranges for the programs!
