Many teachers ask what they and students need to do to prepare for an upcoming Bus program. The most common thing we tell them is to prepare for the weather. The Prairie Ecology Bus Center runs rain, shine or snow; so students should dress accordingly. This means appropriate footwear, clothing (we suggest layers), and also gloves, hats and mittens if the season may call for it.

As rain can often catch one off guard, we also ask that you bring along a box of garbage bags to travel with your school classes. They make wonderful emergency raincoats!

Our programs are self-contained and anything the students may need to use during the field trip - from rubber boots, nets, snowshoes to pencils, paper and clipboards are provided by the Bus!
