Wetland Wildlife Those ponds and marshes around us are used by more than just fish and ducks. They serve as a home for an abundance of wildlife. It also serves as a nursery for a number of animals as frogs, toads and salamanders, plus insects like the dragonfly, mayfly and even the dreaded mosquito. A game of wetland bingo and chance to scoop for these insects showed the students there is more to a wetland than just water!
