	Stream and Lake Ecology It takes a keen eye and a sharp mind to see the big picture. When looking at what makes up a stream and lake ecosystem, we naturally think of the plants and animals that live there. MCC students also took a look at the big picture and investigated the power of the non-living, or abiotic, factors that surrounded the ecosystem. Sun, rain, wind, and soil all play a large role in the health of each ecosystem we investigate.
