	Wetland Science Wetland diversity is comparable with the richness of tropical ecosystems! Seventh & eighth grade students from Wabasso Public School took a first hand look at how wetland ecosystems differ from other aquatic environments when the Prairie Ecology Bus visited the wetland area near their school on May 31.  The soils and plants of a wetland are uniquely suited to the conditions present in a wetland.  By studying these components using scientific tools, observation and sampling, the students left with an improved understanding about the importance of wetlands, their function and how humans and wildlife depend upon them for habitat.
