wonders in our own backyards.

	Wetlands Walnut Grove Elementary Third Grade Students from Walnut Grove boarded the Prairie Ecology Bus on October 17 and traveled to Gales State Wildlife Management Area, north of Walnut Grove. Topic of study: One of the richest environments on earth – wetlands!  Wetlands rival rainforests in their diversity and the amount of life contained within its ecosystem.  By studying the wildlife, both in and out of the water, the students left with a new appreciation for the remarkable places that wetlands are and how important they are for both humans and wildlife.
