The mission of the PEBC
is to be a vehicle for understanding and appreciating the natural
wonders in our own backyards.

SSC Elementary at Pat's Grove Photos
	Forest Ecology, Microscopes, Forest Wildlife, Ecosystem Inventory Southwest Star Concept Elementary Second, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Grade Students from Heron Lake were out with the Ecology Bus at Pat's Grove on October 10 and October 13. Naturalists Alisha Flemming and Clay Steele helped the students to better understand the prairie and forest environment and what plants and animals can be found in these ecosystems.  By studying how trees work, what types we have in our region and which wildlife makes use of these habitats, students had a clearer understanding and new appreciation for the forests of our region.
