Children/Community Garden
The Children/Community Garden (CCG) at Sparks Park, with the help of a start-up grant through the Remick Foundation and a donation from Thrivent Financial, broke ground the spring of 2009. Plots were adopted and planted with vegetables and flowers by area families and PEBC staff. We fashioned archways from cattle panels and planted morning glories, which provided summer shade. In the center we built a bean teepee and in the corner a sunflower house. The plants flourished. A garden shed to house the garden tools and a composting area were erected by our staff. Volunteers are welcome at anytime to help with the garden maintenance. For more details please contact the PEBC at 507-662-5064.
