Forest Wildlife, Wetland Wildlife, Stream & Lake Ecology, Microscopes, Insects
Bridges Elementary 1st & 2nd grade students became forest detectives on April 13 when they were transported to Minneopa State Park in Mankato aboard the Ecology Bus. They discovered what animals are living nearby in the trees! PEBC Naturalists Alisha Flemming and Clay Steele & Executive Director Chrystal Dunker helped students identify animals by their tracks, trails, scat, bite marks, and the homes they leave behind to uncover the stories they tell us. They learned how the smallest of the forest creatures are connected with the biggest. Other programs were 3rd graders studying Wetland Wildlife on April 20, 6th grade students studying Stream & Lake Ecology at 7 Mile Creek Park on April 20, 4th & 5th graders studying Microscopes at Rasmussen Woods on April 21, and Kindergarteners studying Insects at Rasmussen Woods on April 25. |
