Forest Ecology
William Budd Elementary Kindergarten students became forest detectives as they discovered what animals are living nearby in the trees at Cedar Park! Prairie Ecology Bus Naturalists Alisha Flemming and Clay Steele helped the students identify animals by the tracks, trails, scat, bite marks, and homes they leave behind. Those things uncover the stories they tell us. They learned how the smallest of the forest creatures are connected with the biggest. The participants used all their senses as they searched for our neighbors in the trees!
