Monsters of Minnesota Grades - 3-6
Sheets of ice a mile thick cover much of the continent. Huge, strange animals roam the cold, windswept plains: Woolly mammoths, giant sloths twenty feet tall, bears as big as a car! Welcome to North America - 15,000 years ago. Students from SSC Elementary in Heron Lake, Winfair Elementary in Windom, Pleasantview Elementary in Lakefield, and Mountain Lake Elementary in Mountain Lake, learned about the freakiest, biggest, meanest creatures to ever roam Minnesota while playing games and making crafts in this fun-filled afterschool program, directed by PEBC Naturalist Clay Steele. |
