Water Quality
The Prairie Ecology Bus traveled to Vos Park near Butterfield on August 12 to spend the day teaching Watonwan Youth Development children about Water Quality. The students became aquatic scientists for a day! They learned about what “water quality” means and how to measure it with chemical and physical tests. They drew samples and tested these samples. Does water quality really affect us? Do we affect water health? Students also observed toads, spiders, butterflies and birds while hiking around Butterfield Lake. |
