Animal Architects
Springtime is a very busy season!  All around us, animals are busy finding food, finding mates and preparing homes for their future babies.  For some animals, their homes might be fancy. For other animals, the homes might be very simple.  They might be camouflaged or in plain view.  Some homes may be underground, up high in a tree or somewhere in between!  Animals can be amazing architects who build their homes in interesting places.   Prairie Ecology Naturalists Alisha Flemming and Clay Steele helped participants learn about many different types of homes when they presented their program "Animal Architects" to Headstarts around the community: Marshall ECFE at Independence Park in Marshall; Windom ECFE at US Fish & Wildlife Area in Windom; WESCAP - Lakefield/Jackson at Sparks Park in Lakefield; Redwood Falls ECFE at Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls; and Walnut Grove ECFE at Plum Creek Park in Walnut Grove.
