HLWD-DNR Eco Tour Photos
	HLWD-DNR Eco Tour Twenty-one students in grades 5-8 participated in a one-day out-door recreation excursion with the Prairie Ecology Bus, sponsored by the Heron Lake Watershed District (HLWD) and Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The young explorers enjoyed fishing from the shore of Murray County's Seven Mile Lake. The group then traveled to Talcot Lake near Dundee, where they learned about using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technology. Another part of the outdoor recreation day for the students consisted of being taught how to spot and identify several of the bird species that live near Talcot Lake.
