Cedar Mountain Bus Program Photos
Wetland Ecology Sixth & seventh grade students from Cedar Mountain School in Morgan spent two days out with the Prairie Ecology Bus studying Wetland Ecology. The students took a first hand look at how wetland ecosystems differ from other aquatic environments. The soils and plants of a wetland are uniquely suited to the conditions present in a wetland. By studying these components using scientific tools, observation and sampling, the students left with an improved understanding about the importance of wetlands, their function and how humans and wildlife depend upon them for habitat and healthy water.
