Gathering of People and Ideas
On March 1, 2009, the Prairie Ecology Bus Center hosted an Intergenerational Community Dialogue to gather ideas and input on the PEBC's proposed plan to build a new nature and science center in Sparks County Park where the PEBC currently has its office. Ninety-four people covering all of our living generations participated in this event. Eleven communities were represented in the dialogue and wealth of perspectives and suggestions were collected. The information gathered will be used in the PEBC's next steps of a two-year planning process to develop a master plan for the proposed center. The master plan project is funded through a grant with the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
