An added activity to the kite fly was the bol race. Friends and family challenged each other to test their speed and endurance while pulling these parachutes or bols.

Nothing like homemade
A very popular activity at our Kite Fly was to make your own kite.

Naturalist Alisha Flemming shows these do-it-yourselfers how to decorate their kites to add art to the sky.

A shared moment...
A major goal of the Prairie Winds Kite Fly is to get families together and enjoy the outdoors.

A large number of families attending let us know our mission was accomplished!

Kite Doctor

No, it's not a new show on TV this fall. We had our own kite doctor on hand at the kite fly to help any "patients" that needed repairs. A little TLC and some tape was just what the doctor ordered.
