Kite Fly

Jackson Municipal Airport,
Jackson, MN
Directions: In Jackson, travel Hwy 71 just North of I-90. Turn east on 800th Street to airport.

Prairie Winds is FREE and open to the public! Ample space is available on the airport grounds to accommodate the serious kite enthusiasts, as well as, the casual flier! Fliers of all ages are welcome. All kids receive a PEBC souvenir for attending!

The Ecology Bus, a mobile
science laboratory and classroom,
will be on site with activities and
games of a windy theme.
Our official Kite Doctor will be
on hand to repair injured kites
and get you back in the air again!
 

Professional Kite flyers from four
states will bring amazing show kites!

Don’t have a kite? No problem!
Donovan’s Hobby Center will
have kites available for sale.

 

Other activities include:
- Kite Making
- Crazy Contests for kids
- Scavenger hunt between the kite fly and Ft. Belmont's Redezvous event
- Door prizes, music, concessions and more!
