"Water, Wildlife and the Human Connection"
The PEBC brings a new educator workshop to southern Minnesota! The Water, Wildlife and the Human Connection training workshop is a unique four-day educator training opportunity to help educators in public and private schools, homeschool providers and youth group leaders and church group educators grow in their understanding of the natural resources of southwestern Minnesota and the environment through field experiences applying natural resource concepts and environmental understanding.
Utilizing the nationally-recognized curriculums of Project WET, Projects Wild and Aquatic Wild, and Population Connection, participants will gain both experience with the resource materials through practical, hands-on activities and have opportunities to utilize these resources in the field through two field days out with the Ecology Bus.
The Water, Wildlife and the Human Connection includes:
*Over $100 worth of resources and curriculum materials
*
24 hours of contact time for CEU’s
*Make ‘n take “tools” for future outdoor lessons with your students
*Two graduate credits available with added assignment (optional, credit cost not included)
*Meals and snacks provided
Educators will leave with fresh ideas to enhance your educational setting, an understanding of what each curriculum has to offer, experience participating in a wide range of activities in those curriculums and practical field experiences that can be replicated within their own education settings.
