Dandelion

To many, the first dandelion on the lawn is nothing to be excited about. Rather, most consider it a weed to be removed. But the dandelion is much more than a weed or yellow flower. It is more well-known in parts of the world for it food and health aspects. In fact, it's scientific name Taraxacum officinalis mean "official cure-all."

The name dandelion comes from the tooth-like leaves.  The French call it
dent de lion
.

Flowers open in the morning and close up in the evening.

Can set fruits without pollination.
