Assembly Programs
Assembly programs are 60-70 minute large group presentations. A maximum of 150 students for assemblies (100 maximum for whale program).
** Please note: If we are asked to give an assembly to a gathering with a large spread in age groups, we will target the program content to the middle age group. |
Residency Program Package

begin with a regular Assembly Program and are followed by 45-60 minute small group workshops in individual classrooms (maximum 30 students each). Students are able to explore artifacts, scientific tools and other props as well as take part in hands-on activities to learn even more about the assembly topic. The following descriptions assume residencies are included. |
The 3-R Challenge
Grades 3-6
Each day, Minnesotans create the equivalent of 4.4 pounds of trash per person! That's a lot of garbage! Learn the history of garbage, how it’s changed over the years and why it’s become a modern day dilemma. Students learn how to reduce this amount by following the three R's. Find out what's actually in trash and the ways your own community recycles. Take back new ideas to improve waste reduction in your own homes and schools. |
A Whale in my School
