Children's Community Garden

Located at Sparks Park - 935 North Hwy 86 - Lakefield, MN - 507-662-5064

The Garden Is Open To Families, Youth Of All Ages! Come out and enjoy.

All 4' X 8' garden plots have been spoken for this Summer!!

The Children's Community Garden (CCG) is a program geared for involving area gardeners in mentoring youth in the art and joy of gardening. Gardening is not only good exercise, but also provides wonderful opportunities to connect to the land, develop appreciation for living things, inspires stewardship through planting a seed and nurturing the plant throughout the season - thus reaping the benefits of fresh vegetables, flowers and herbs!

This CCG project is open to participants of all ages!

Volunteers are welcome to stop out at anytime to help with garden planting in the spring - weeding, watering and harvesting in the summertime - and garden cleanup in the fall.

Participants are responsible for planting their own seeds and tending their 4' X 8' garden plot within the Children's Garden.

Stop by frequently to see new photos added as the "garden grows"!!
